Comprised of innovative engineers and highly-precise steel fabricators, the company has developed a level of expertise that has made it a world leader in their market.

The company was founded in 1926 and has over 200 employees.

Dynamic Structures has been awarded a contract to design the enclosure for the Thirty Meter Telescope as part of Canada’s contribution to this international megaproject. When completed, this will be the largest optical telescope in the world.  Dynamic Structures has participated in over half of the world’s largest observatory telescope projects.

The company’s is also known for its ability to develop solutions for sophisticated, complex structures complexity. The projects are often for the industrial, institutional and commercial sectors.

Dynamic Structures’ operations in Alberta had operated under the name Empire Iron Works. Dynamic’s landmark projects are iconic, award-winning structures in Western Canada and the US’s Pacific Northwest such as:
